Giuseppe Bellelli, Department of Medicine and Surgery, University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy
Giuseppe Bellelli studied at the University of Milan, graduating in medicine in 1988 and specializing in geriatrics and gerontology in 1992 at the University of Parma. He is a Full Professor of Geriatrics and Internal Medicine and the Director of the School of Specialization in Geriatrics at the University of Milano-Bicocca. He is also the Director of the Acute Geriatrics Unit, Fondazione IRCCS Ospedale S. Gerardo, Monza, Italy. He is also a member and lecturer of the Public Health Epidemiology, Statistics, and Economics program at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Prof. Bellelli is the President of the regional section of the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics (SIGG) and served as a national board member of the same society from 2014 to 2022. From 2020 to 2022, he was the national vice president of the Italian Association of Psychogeriatrics (AIP). From 2018 to September 2023, he was the coordinator of the Delirium Special Interest Group of the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS). Prof. Bellelli is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ravasi Garzanti Onlus Foundation. He is the author or co-author of over 300 scientific publications in international journals and the author of 3 books and several chapters in Italian and English.

Mario Bo, Department of Medical Sciences, University of Torino, Italy
Prof. Mario Bo is a specialist in geriatrics and cardiology, with a PhD in Gerontology Research and Geriatric Therapy. He is the author of more than 200 scientific papers, with publications in international peer-reviewed journals. He regularly carries out teaching activities at the University of Turin. He is a member of the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics (SIGG) and the Italian Society of Geriatric Cardiology (SICGe). His research activity focuses on the fields of geriatrics (focusing on delirium, dementia, sarcopenia, osteoporosis, polypharmacy, and inappropriate therapy) and cardiology (focusing on atrial fibrillation, syncope, hypertension, and aortic stenosis).

Giovanni Cenderello, Infectious Diseases, ASL 1, Sanremo, Italy
Giovanni Cenderello obtained MD degree in 1997 from Genoa University, completed his infectious diseases residency training in the same University, Italy in 2001. Since then he has been involved in clinical and research activity at ASL-1 Imperiese Sanremo (from 2002 to 2009) and then at Galliera Hospital (Genoa Italy) from 2009 to 2019 . In 2019 he became Director of Infectious Diseases Unit at ASL.1 Imperiese (Sanremo Italy), where he developed an intensity of care system for facing the COVID-19 pandemic. He is author of 123 papers published on high impact journal. The main research fields are : HIV medicine, HIV and HCV screening campaigns and infection in elderly people. Moreover, he is very active in health economy issue and in innovative approach to hospital management. He is working actively in the fast track cities movement which is promoting HIV and HCV screening close to people in public events (music festival, commercial/country fairs and so on) He is member of editorial board of Journal of HIV and ageing and Geriatric Care. He is president of Liguria section od Società Italiana Malattie Infettive e Tropicali (Italian Society for Infectious and Tropical Diseases). He served as peer reviewer for BMC Infectious diseases, Clinical Infectious Diseases, journal of Antimicrobial Therapy and Plos ONE.

Antonio Cherubini, IRCCS INRCA, Ancona, Italy
Antonio Cherubini, MD, PhD, is a geriatrician. He performed research activities in several US centers, including Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston (1997-1998); the Geriatric Research Education Clinical Center (GRECC), VA hospital, Gainesville; the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, Tufts University, Boston; and the National Institute on Aging, Baltimore. He is currently Director of Geriatria, Accettazione geriatrica, e Centro di Ricerca per l'Invecchiamento and of the Department of Geriatric Pathways of Frailty,Continuity of Care and Rehabilitation, at IRCCS INRCA, Ancona, Italy. He is also an Associate Professor of Gerontology and Geriatrics at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy. He is the former Academic Director of the EuGMS (2022-2023). He is also the author of more than 500 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is an Associate Editor of European Geriatric Medicine.

Patrizia Mecocci, Department of Medicine and Surgery, University of Perugia, Italy
Prof. Mecocci received her M.D. from the University of Perugia (Italy), School of Medicine, where she completed a residency program in Geriatrics. She also earned a Ph.D. in Biology and Physiopathology of Aging at the University of Modena (Italy). After receiving a grant from the Italian National Research Council (CNR), she spent three years as a research fellow, first at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry at the University of Lund (Sweden) and then at the Department of Neurology, MGH-Harvard Medical School in Boston (USA). She then started her academic career at the University of Perugia, where she is now Full Professor of Gerontology and Geriatrics and Director of the Geriatric Clinic. She has been appointed by Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm as Foreign Adjunct Professor at the Division of Clinical Geriatrics, Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences, and Society (NVS). Her research activity is focused on several aspects of clinical and neuropsychological aspects of aging and biological studies on aging with a specific interest in oxidative stress. She sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease Reports, Alzheimer’s and Dementia TRCI, American Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias, International Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, Nutrients, Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience. She worked as a partner in various European Union-funded projects of FP6, FP7, Horizon 2020, IHI programs, and JPND programs concerned with improving the diagnosis/treatment of dementia, problems related to aging, and healthcare opportunities for an aging Europe. She is P.I. of national projects funded by the Italian Ministry of Health (MinSal) and by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) on biomarkers in aging and age-related diseases and on the role of oxidative stress and antioxidants in aging. She is the founder and scientific leader of the GERICO project (GERIatric COgnitive evaluation), an electronic health record system for collecting clinical, biological, and neuroimaging data on many old subjects with cognitive and somatic problems. She is the author/coauthor of more than 430 peer-reviewed publications, and she contributed 40 books/chapters and monographs.

Gianluca Trifirò, University of Messina, Italy
Gianluca Trifirò is a MD, with a post-graduate degree in Clinical Pharmacology and a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology. He currently works as a Full Professor of Pharmacology at the University of Verona. He is the scientific coordinator of the Postgraduation Degree in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology and of a Master's program on “Use of Real-World Data for Evaluations in Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics” at the University of Verona. He is the scientific coordinator of the Italian Society of Pharmacology working group on pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance. For around 20 years he has been fully involved in ISOP, where he currently acts as Chair of the Big Data and RWE Special Interest Group. He is a fellow of both the International Society of Pharmacovigilance and the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology.  He is a member of the steering group of the European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP) of the European Medicine Agency. He is Editor in Chief of the journal Frontiers in Drug Safety and Regulation. He is the author of more than 250 publications PV- and clinical pharmacology-related in international scientific peer-reviewed journals.

Prof. Andrea Ungar is a Full Professor of Internal Medicine - Geriatrics at the University of Florence and Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria Careggi. He is currently Director of Geriatrics and Intensive Care Unit. Andrea Ungar is an expert in geriatric medicine, and cardiovascular disease in the elderly (he is the author of more than 400 publications). He is involved in the Italian and European Societies of Geriatrics and Cardiology. He is the President of the Italian Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Coordinator of the Special Interest Group on Cardiovascular Medicine of the European Union Geriatric Medicine Societies, and President of the Veteris Association for Animal-Assisted Therapy. His professional activities also include reviewing scientific manuscripts for high-impact journals in internal medicine, geriatrics, and cardiovascular medicine journals.
