When the President of the Italian Society of Geriatrics Hospital and Community (SIGOT), a prestigious and historical 30-year-old national scientific society devoted to Geriatrics, invited me to join the project to launch the new official journal of the Society, my first reaction was Geriatric Care! It will be the name of this new journal. Indeed, Geriatric Care is more than just a name of a new journal.
