Raul Martin graduated in Optometry at the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain (1992) and awarded his PhD in Optometry and Vision Science summa cum laude at the University of Valladolid, Spain (2010). He is Program Leader of the Optometry Program at the University of Valladolid (Spain) and Honorific Associated Professor of the Plymouth University (UK). Visiting lecture of the Department of Optometry and Vision Science School, Cardiff University, Cardiff, Wales, UK (2011) and Department of Vision Science, Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow, Scotland, UK (2012). He is consultant at IOBA Eye Institute of the University of Valladolid and Principal Investigator of the Optometry Research Group of the IOBA Eye Institute. His main research interests have been ocular surface, contact lenses, new technology assessing, ophthalmic application of nanotechnology and teaching research. He is currently Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
